With over 23,000 families, businesses, and organizations that trust our services and product offerings, we proudly hold the position of one of the most well-regarded credit unions in Texas. Our locations served include Canyon, Hereford, Childress, Deaf Smith County, and certain parts of Amarillo as a credit union and not-for-profit organization focused on countering high interest rates and offering lower monthly payments than many other credit or financial planning institutions like banks. 

How We Started

Federally chartered on January 12, 1953, as the Amarillo Pantex Credit Union, the newly renamed TPFCU only opened its first branch in Amarillo, Texas, in 1973. Today we have five well-established branches falling under one of the following sections of our organization: 

• Canyon Credit Union
• Childress Credit Union
• Amarillo Credit Union

As a community-centric financial institution, we serve employees of businesses in Canyon, Childress, Hereford, Amarillo, and Deaf Smith County, as well as those who live, worship, or are eligible for membership within these areas, helping them become financially independent while achieving their long-term financial goals.

Unlike banks, which are owned by their shareholders, TPFCU is member-owned and volunteer directed.
