8 Tips to Minimize Human Contact While Getting Finance and Loan Assistance

The People’s Federal Credit Union has reopened its lobbies to provide loan assistance and banking services during the COVID-19 pandemic. You can use our virtual branch and mobile banking app, as well, but with our Amarillo credit union open, here are tips to help protect yourself from coronavirus while getting the finance and loan help you need.

1. Stay at Least Six Feet Apart

Social distancing remains one of the primary recommendations as the pandemic continues. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) suggests staying six feet apart from others. Even if a person isn’t showing signs of illness, they can still be contagious.

2. Wear a Mask While in Public

A mask should cover your mouth and nose. It protects other people in case you have coronavirus. Masks are not a substitute for social distancing. Even if you’re able to maintain a safe distance in our lobbies in Amarillo, Childress, and Canyon, wear your mask to ensure everyone is protected.

3. Take Advantage of Curbside Banking

If you prefer to stay outside, we can prepare your paperwork so you don’t have to leave your car. One of our employees will bring the documents to you to minimize human contact. If you require a cash transaction, visit our drive-thru kiosk during business hours.

4. Avoid Peak Business Hours

Schedule your banking visit for off-hours, rather than the busiest times, which are usually around lunchtime or after work. You can call ahead to ask how busy our lobby is. The fewer people you come into contact with, the lower the risk of being exposed to the virus.

5. Use Our Remote Deposit System

You can now deposit checks using your smartphone. The TPFCU Owner mobile app is available via the Apple App Store or Google Play. It has a remote deposit feature that lets you take a picture of your check on both sides (after you sign it), and answer some questions, before depositing the money into your account.

6. Use Our Financial Wellness Center

If you want to learn more about finance, whether it’s savings, investing, or obtaining loans, use our free Online Money Management Program. It provides interactive educational tools that help you learn critical concepts, without meeting face-to-face with anyone. You can even learn more about mortgages and other loans.

7. Get Forms and Disclosures Online

Disclosure documents, authorizations, forms, and applications are available online. You can access these, print them, and fill out the appropriate information without visiting us in person. These include an ACH Stop Payment Request, Debit Card Travel Request, Automatic Transfer Form, Payroll Conversion Authorization, and more.

8. Learn About Our Loan Rates Online

If you’re considering a loan, view The People’s Federal Credit Union’s loan rates and terms for vehicles, mortgages, and credit cards. Rates for our Signature Loans are provided as well.

(H2) Contact The People’s Federal Credit Union

Whether you’re making a big purchase or refinancing, or require basic banking services, we can help you in person or remotely during the coronavirus pandemic. These tips can help you stay safe when receiving finance or loan assistance. Contact us today to learn more.
